Moved to Vidahost
The site and gallery are no longer online via home server, they've been moved to a host - Vidahost. It seemed a bit ungreen to keep the home pc on all the time, and it passes over the headache of making sure it keeps working. So far everything seems reasonably straightforward, took a while to migrate the Drupal sites and the embedded Galleries over. Basically, used Cpanel/fantastico to install new versions, ftp'd over the files, used PhpMyAdmin to export and import the databases, then tweaked config files, settings. Took a fair bit of tweaking, including little process like installing the Gallery once copied over, but better than rebuilding everything, and a lot of advice on the Drupal site.
We haven't quite got the webmail transferred over yet, so the server is still on. It might be useful to keep it in reserve for testing upgrades.
Also got the domain name properly associated with the website, rather than just forwarded - had to put the name servers of the new host into the setting on the domain name manager and set up the new name as a subdomain on Vidahost.
